What Is LIMFA?
LIMFA® Therapy is a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) system developed in Italy by Eywa srl and distributed in the United States by Limfa USA. It uses ultra-weak, low-frequency magnetic signal sequences — 29 patented programs in all — rather than the high-intensity pulses used by some other PEMF devices. According to the manufacturer, LIMFA is a 510(k) FDA-cleared device indicated for muscle relaxation and a local increase in blood circulation. At OsteoStrong Juno Beach, it is offered as an optional recovery session alongside your weekly OsteoStrong visit.
How LIMFA® Works
According to Limfa USA, LIMFA® uses ultra-weak, super-low-frequency magnetoelectric fields (2–80 Hz, 1–134 μT), a gentler approach than high-intensity PEMF devices. No voltage or electricity is applied directly to the body; field strength is roughly 0.001–0.134 gauss. These signals are designed to interact with the body’s natural bioelectrical signaling, including the ion channels cells use to communicate.

What to Expect
LIMFA is non-invasive and works through clothing, so there’s nothing to change into and no skin contact required. A team member gets you comfortably positioned and starts one of the device’s preset, fully automatic programs, then stays available while you relax. You can head straight back to your day afterward.

LIMFA is an optional add-on service you can pair with your OsteoStrong membership. At our center it is not provided as a medical treatment, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The manufacturer notes that LIMFA can be used by people with surgical plates and metal implants.
